 FAQs

  • Acupuncture is widely known for relieving pain, but it also supports many other health concerns. At Elements of Wellness, patients often seek care for back and neck pain, sciatica, migraines, stress, anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, women’s health, and even immune support. Because acupuncture works by balancing the body’s energy and improving circulation, it can be customized for each individual and their unique health goals.

  • Many first-time patients are surprised to learn how comfortable acupuncture is. The needles are extremely thin (much finer than a standard medical needle) so most people feel little to no discomfort when they are inserted. Instead, patients often describe sensations of warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation. Some even fall asleep during their session.

  • Healing is different for everyone. Some patients feel relief after their very first session, while others benefit from a series of treatments to achieve long-term results. Acute issues may improve more quickly, while chronic conditions can take more time. During your initial visit, your acupuncturist will create a personalized care plan tailored to your health goals.

  • Your first visit begins with a detailed health history and conversation about your current concerns and goals. Your acupuncturist will then design a treatment specifically for you. Most appointments last between 45–60 minutes, including time to relax with the needles in place. Many patients leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more balanced.

  • Some insurance plans offer acupuncture benefits, and coverage is growing every year. Our team is happy to verify your benefits, explain your options, or provide the paperwork you may need for reimbursement. Even if you don’t have insurance coverage, we offer flexible payment options to make care accessible.

  • Yes! Acupuncture works beautifully alongside chiropractic care and massage therapy. Chiropractic adjustments help restore alignment, massage eases muscle tension, and acupuncture promotes balance and circulation. Together, these therapies support whole-body healing and long-lasting wellness.
