Jack Strickland, CMT

MASSAGE THERAPY

Jack Strickland is a Certified Massage Therapist, with 720 course hours, and has been practicing for over fourteen years.

He has worked with numerous healers in the wellness industry, from maternity and fertility specialists to sports chiropractors and kinesiologists.

As an athletic youth, Jack accumulated a few injuries that had a deep impact on his mindset to healing. His approach gently guides the body toward self-healing by relaxing the nervous system while targeting tension and allowing the body to self-correct.

As the body falls out of alignment (ie stress, physical ailments, injuries, etc) “alarm mode” triggers. Tension builds and the brain releases chemicals into the body, which in turn collects a series of imbalances and repetitive strains. Jack believes it is his job to reverse these strains using a combination of neuromuscular massage and deep tissue therapy.

Through stretching and body movement guidance, Jack educates his clients on corrective techniques. He possesses a collaborative style, working well with other health practitioners and the client themselves to insure the client feels comfortable and active in their wellness journey.

Lynda Vu, LAc

ACUPUNCTURE, HERBAL MEDICINE

Lynda is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the State of California and completed her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University with Cum Laude. Her clinic education involved 1080 hours of training, including specialty clinic internships within Orthopedics and Women's Health. She advanced her diagnostic and treatment skills at two externship sites: Venice Family Clinic and The Wellness Center at USC.

What led her to study Chinese Medicine was a love for natural medicine. She remembers growing up around this. She saw the firsthand benefits of traditional Asian medicine, including an herbal formula which restored her mother's mobility after having experienced debilitating arthritis for years. When a person would catch a cold at her grandparent's house, it was normal for elders in the family to administer guasha, a scraping technique used to ameliorate someone's cold or pain. She came to value these practices as an adult.

Her focus is on treating patients with various conditions including sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain, neuropathy, carpal tunnel, digestive concerns and women's health issues. She feels passionate about sharing the benefits of traditional Asian medicine with others and is dedicated to helping patients improve their quality of lives.
